It May Only Be 1/60th of a Second, But...
A nearly forgotten photographic company long ago coined them "Kodak Moments". In actuality and under normal lighting conditions, those moments last approximately 1/60th of a second.
Should you live nearly 89 years as my mother did (she passed away in early December) you would have experienced over 168 billion of those (1/60th of a second) moments. Trust me, I did the math.
Earlier this year my mom or "Granny" as she was affectionately called, summoned home her brood for a special 1/60th of a second. The result can be seen below. Mary and my family on the left and my sister Teri, her husband John and their family on the right - 1/60th of a second on July 11, 2021.
People traveled many miles for this 1/60th of a second to make a simple statement, "This is who we are and this is what we believe. It's important," even if for only 1/60th of a second.
No doubt, most of you have similar documentations and sentiments. Cherish every second.
Here's another family picture "taken" a while back. It's also what we believe, and yes, it's important.
Hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Great 2022.
