Have you ever been lost in the woods (or on a road trip) without a compass or Google Maps®?   Remember how alone and helpless that feeling was?

If you’re at all like me, you probably didn’t stop to ask for directions or seek help from a stranger. If you’re like me, you looked for the nearest landmark or tried to retrace your path. One way or another, when we try to figure it out on our own, we often end up in a more complicated predicament.

Being personally responsible for “finding our way home” is a noble attribute, but the rise in secularism in the past 30 years has clouded the sky with false North Stars. We’re more easily confused if we don’t use True North as our bearing point. Having faith in God as our True North is a valuable re-centering necessity.

If your way seems a little uncertain, maybe it’s time to reorient your compass. We’d love to have you join us and find out… You’re Welcome Here.

Verse

Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence
of things not seen.        Hebrews 11.1

Most of us move through life hoping and praying for an easy road. Most often, it seems like the exact opposite.

Faith is so important because in one way or another, we are all are beset with weakness, poverty, and difficulties in life. If we had no faith, how could we have hope?

Prayer

Heavenly Father,

Our world grows increasingly secular, promoting individuality over the common good.   Help us to persevere, to increase our have faith in You. Grant us strength in the midst of weakness, joy in times of sorrow, and peace in our troubled world. Bless us with forgiveness, peace, and Your Spiritual True North.

With the advance of cultural indifference, or even hostility toward religion and spirituality, our Church has been a little slow to respond. We depended on each generation to evangelize the next generation, and often enough, other cultural values eclipsed the message of the Gospel. We hope that our "Like and Share" project might reach some folks who are searching for something deeper in life. Perhaps some will even join us at Mass for another look.
