G. Richard Ambrosius - Biography
Storyteller, educator, strategist, motivator and coach is available for presentations, keynote addresses or project work. As the founder and principal of Positive Aging®, a national training and marketing strategy development consultancy, his positive aging and ageless marketing philosophy has been communicated to a wide variety of businesses, organizations, nonprofits corporations, associations and planned adult communities in 49 states. He is widely recognized as a positive aging visionary and creative strategist. As chair of the Re-Branding Aging Work Group for the International Council on Active Aging (ICAA), his leadership resulted in launching the international Changing the Way We Age Campaign.
Dick began public speaking and advocacy for ageless marketing in 1981 by forming one of the first consulting firms to specialize in marketing to middle age and older adults. His innovative approaches lead to his appointment by President Ronald Reagan as the youngest member of the National Advisory Committee to the 1981 White House Conference on Aging and selection as South Dakota's 1987 Entrepreneur of the Year by Entrepreneur Magazine.
Dick has conducted focus groups for and consulted with a wide variety of corporations, non-profit organizations, businesses associations and government agencies in addition to his training activities.In addition to authoring sales and marketing training manuals for clients, Dick is the author Changes & Choices . . . a primer on life planning, and The Art of the Positive . . . tapping the power of an inclusionary vocabulary.
